Hello Anesthesia Chiefs and Pediatric Anesthesia Practitioners:

My name is David Rosen and I am the incoming Chair of the Canadian Pediatric Anesthesia Society (CPAS). On behalf of the CPAS Board, I would like to welcome you and thank you for your participation in our organization.

CPAS aims to represent the specialty of Pediatric Anesthesia at a national level, and through collaborations with other representative organizations, at an international level. We plan, support and implement educational opportunities at our stand-alone meetings and at the CAS meetings. We also participate in national tele-rounds and online discussion forums.

CPAS is a non-profit incorporated entity that is run by an elected Board of Directors. The term of elected service is 2 years. Existing Directors may stand for re-election when their term expires.

In 2016 the terms of several existing CPAS Board members will be complete. The positions of Vice-Chair, Secretary and Member-at-Large will become vacant. Inaccordance with its By-Laws, elections to the Board must be held at the AGM, in Banff, at the Scientific Meeting. We are seeking nominations for election to the 2016-2018 Board. All CPAS members with an active subscription are eligible and invited to consider standing for election. The Board seeks a careful balance of youth & experience, as well as broad geographical representation across Canada.
